Some women naturally or after childbirth have enlarged nipple areola. The areola is the darker tissue surrounding the nipple and can enlarge when the breast tissue is stretched. This can leave some women feeling self conscious.
The procedure involves reducing the size of the areola with a simple circumferential excision that is near invisible once healed as the areola tissue heals extremely well.
Long nipples or wide nipples can also be a source of embarrassment for some women. Dr Darshn specialises in procedures to correct both these issues with invisible scarring.
Inverted nipples are caused by tight breast ducts/ligaments pulling the nipple into the breast.
