We treat your patient rights very seriously, and we encourage you to discuss any concerns with Dr Darshn and his team. If we can't resolve the issue directly, AHPRA provides a national mechanism for formal complaints.
Talk to your CSA consultant about your recovery. Each procedure involves a different recovery time, but it’s important to remember that you must take the required time for your body to heal before embarking in any strenuous activity.
We recommend you do not undergo any cosmetic surgery just prior to a big event, such as your wedding.
Most women can breastfeed after a breast augmentation, however speak to your CSA consultant and we recommend you read more about this topic on the Australian Breast Feeding Association website
Travelling overseas for cosmetic surgery will seem attractive to some people for either the proposed cost and/or the location, there are however risks involved. If there are complications with your surgery that initial cost and risk can increase significantly. It's important to remember when deciding on where to have the procedure that, like any surgery, cosmetic surgery carries risks. You'll want to be in a place where you will be treated appropriately and quickly if there are any complications.
Do your homework and make sure the person performing the procedure is properly qualified and accredited. It is also important to make sure that the surgery will take place in an accredited facility.
Like all surgery there are risks associated with cosmetic surgery. It is important that you raise any concerns or questions with your CSA consultant during your consultation. The choice to undergo a procedure must be your own and you will be asked to sign a consent form.
All our cosmetic surgeons are registered and licenced. For your peace of mind, we encourage you to check our credentials. The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) has an online register where you can search doctor qualifications and see if they have any conditions or restrictions around their practice.
If you proceed with your cosmetic surgery procedure the cost of the consultation fee will be credited against the procedure cost.
Generally, there's no rebate available for breast augmentation, however some rebates do apply for work that is considered reconstructive. Ask your CSA consultant about whether there is any rebate for your procedure.
Different procedures involve different costs. Your CSA specialist will discuss all associated costs with your procedure, including hospital or surgical facility costs, anaesthesia fees, medication and medical tests.
