SoftForm Implants

A SoftForm™ facial implant is a soft, synthetic material that is natural feeling and pliable and is used to fill out frown and cheek lines and can also improve the lip border.

The implant is hollow and tubular and remains under the skin indefinitely, but may be removed if necessary.

The implant is fed under the skin with a rigid guide through two small incisions. The guide is removed, the implant cut to size and the incisions closed with a single stitch. The tube-shaped design promotes the growth

of your tissue into the tube.

Treatment consists of an in-office cosmetic surgery procedure done under local anaesthesia. The procedure usually takes about 30 minutes.

Treatment results are visible immediately. Swelling, bruising, or some discomfort may occur. Some patients may experience a sensation of tightness at the implantation site. 

Up to one week following treatment most swelling and bruising should disappear. Many people will not be able to tell that a procedure has been done. Although you may always be able to feel the implant under your skin, softening of the implant is anticipated over time.

Three to four months after treatment the healing is complete. Continued softening of the implant is anticipated.
