The Price of Beauty - Your Cosmetic Surgery Cost Guide
It is very difficult to put an 'average' cost on cosmetic procedures as doctor's fee's, theatre/day surgery and anaesthetist costs can vary so widely. We have provided these costs as a guide only.
Please use our 'Locate a Doctor' section to contact a qualified cosmetic doctor with questions relating to costs on any of the procedures you may be interested in. Many doctors will only give a costing on surgical procedures during your initial consultation, as each case is assessed on an individual basis.

For Cosmetic/Plastic Surgery
The cost of surgery will vary based on your needs and the complexity of the procedure. Most procedures actually have four different, variable costs:
1. Surgeon's Fee - The surgeons fee for cosmetic procedures will vary according to the complexity and number of hours required to complete the procedure.
2. Theatre/Day Surgery Cost - Many surgeons utilise out-patient surgical centres to perform their procedures. The complexity and duration of your procedure will affect the cost of this facility. Some surgeons also use an operating room in their own facility, in which case the cost will very often be included under the umbrella of the Surgeon's Fee.
3. Anaesthesia - These charges are based on the type of anaesthesia required, local or general, and whether it is administered by your doctor (local) or an Anaesthetist (general).
4. Devices - Breast, cheek and chin implants and injectables (botox, collagen etc.) are often referred to as 'devices'. Device costs will vary by implant size and quality, or injectable volume. While device costs are usually included with the surgeon's fee, they can represent a significant part of your overall procedure cost.
**Prices quoted below may not include doctor's fee, day surgery/theatre fee, anaesthetist fee, or GST.
Consultation fee's, if applicable, are charged separately. Additional costs may apply where special creams, prescription medications, pre-op blood tests, stockings, or pressure bandages/suits (corsets) are required to assist the outcome of your procedure.
