Micro-Dermabrasion
Micro-Dermabrasion is a skin rejuvenation technique that helps repair facial skin that takes a beating from the sun and the effects of ageing.
The doctor or skincare specialist uses a device like a fine sandblaster to spray tiny crystals across the face, mixing gentle abrasion with suction to remove the dead, outer layer of skin. As with other skin rejuvenation techniques, more than one treatment may be needed to reduce or remove fine wrinkles and unwanted pigmentation.

Micro-Dermabrasion exfoliates skin faster and more efficiently than salon facials or products used at home, and it penetrates the skin more deeply than a glycolic acid peel. It won't, however, help prominent acne scars and other deep facial indentations.
The treatment takes between 30-60 minutes. Many patients describe a slight stinging sensation during treatment, but the discomfort is minimal and anaesthesia is generally not necessary.
Following treatment, the skin may appear slightly pinkish for approximately 24 to 48 hours. You will be advised on post-treatment care. It is important to keep the skin well moisturised and protected with sunscreen.
To achieve optimal benefits, five to 12 treatments every seven to 14 days may be required. Most patients see an improvement after the fourth or fifth session. After the initial course, periodic maintenance treatments (once a month to once every three months) are often recommended.
Average Price Range: $110-$130 per treatment
