About Hair Transplant Surgery

Hair transplant surgery involves relocating (transplanting) the bald resistant hair follicles from the back of the head to the balding areas on the top and front of the head. This process is effective and will last a lifetime because the hair follicles taken from the back of the head are genetically resistant to baldness, no matter where they are transplanted. These transplanted hair follicles will continue to grow hair for a life time.

Hair transplant surgery is a one day out-patient procedure requiring only local anaesthesia. Most patients are surprised by how little discomfort, if any, they experience during and after surgery.

With today’s hair transplant surgery you can expect full and natural looking results after only one or two surgical hair restoration session(s). When done right, a hair transplant is so natural that even a hair stylist cannot detect it. The days of the unnatural looking “corn row” hair transplants are long gone.
