Burn Surgery

Both in the acute management of burns, or to improve scars or function following an old burn, plastic surgery offers a full range of treatments.

This may involve anything from specialised wound management and dressing techniques, through to

skin grafting or flap surgery.  Old burn scars can often be unsightly and can thicken, contract, and limit movement.  Any of these problems may require scar management techniques or surgery to correct.
